As the only food for the young mammal it is virtually sterile when produced in the udder of the cow and full of energy and building materials necessary for growth. Milk contains all the essential nutrients in the right amounts for all the energy and nutritional needs of their young. This is also true for humans and milk form an important part of our daily diet.
